СОЮЗЫ

Типы вопросов

В английском языке существует 4 типа вопросов:

1.Общие вопросы, ᴛ.ᴇ. вопросы ко всœему предложению, требующие ответа “да” или “нет” и произносимые с повышением голоса.

Ср. Do you like this film? – Тебе нравится данный фильм?

2. Специальные вопросы, ᴛ.ᴇ. вопросы к какому-то одному конкретному члену предложения, начинающиеся с вопросительных слов who, where, what, when etc. и произносимые с понижением голоса.

Ср. What are you doing? – Чем ты занимаешься?

(Что ты сейчас делаешь?)

Where is he? – Где он?

Whenwill you come back? – Когда ты приедешь?

Who will do it? – Кто это сделает?

3. Альтернативные вопросы (предоставляющие выбор).

Их первая часть произносится с повышением голоса, а вторая – с понижением.

Ср. Would you like tea or coffee? – Вы хотите чай или кофе?

4. Разделительные вопросы (так называемые “вопросы с хвостиком”)

Ср. You will come, won’t you? – Ты придёшь, не так ли?

She is English, isn’t she? – Она англичанка, неправда ли?

Следует помнить, что вспомогательный глагол во второй части альтернативного вопроса (“в хвостике”) должен обязательно согласовываться с глагольной формой первой (утвердительной) частью вопроса.

and –и Ср. I have a brother and sister and we are all good friends. – У меня есть брат и сестра, и мы хорошие друзья. because – потому что Ср. I was late for school because I had overslept. – Я опоздал в школу, потому что проспал.
but - но Ср. I’ve got two brothers but no sisters. – У меня двое братьев, но нет сестры. if – если Ср. If the weather is fine tomorrow we’ll go to the zoo. – В случае если завтра будет хорошая погода, мы пойдём в зоопарк.
either … or – или (либо… либо) Ср. He’ll come back either on Monday or on Tuesday. – Он приедет или в понедельник или во вторник. when – когда Ср. Give me a ring where you come back. – Позвони мне, когда вернёшься.
neither … nor – ни… ни Ср. I know neither his address nor his telephone number. – Я не знаю ни его адреса, ни телœефона. As soon as – как только Ср. I knew something was wrong as soon as I saw him. – Как только я его увидел, я понял, что что-то случилось.
both … and – и… и Ср. Both my sister and brother are fond of roller skating. – И моя сестра и мой брат любят кататься на роликовых коньках. (al)though– хотя Ср. I went to the party though I didn’t really feel like going there.- Я пошёл на вечер, хотя мне не очень хотелось.
